LINDSAY OWEN PIERRE
Bass, vocals

From where comes Sir Duke’s low frequency funk? Some say that from the very first day his connection to the funk was his brand. Whose first words were: “We need mo’ funk in this land!” Being born in the west, in Calgary’s breast, He found that funk was lacking, Which is what sent him packing. Bringing him to the groovy people in Montreal’s loving steeple Of rhythm and blues and dancin’ fools. He tried his hand at rock about 10 years back, With a kick ass band by the name of W.A.C..

Although it sound pleasing to rock ever after, He had to make his way to funkier pastures. He became a part of the mighty Beached Whale, And was but one in an epic tale. A story of loss and strength of a race, Transmitted to you hrough neo-goth-tribal-electro-drum and bass.
Though that story goes on and on, it now must continue without this one. Which brings us to now in this brave new land, Where this Duke now lays with THE FREE OXYGEN BAND. But the funk that stems from his mortal soul is not only restricted to music. He plays parts in movies and plays that are groovy. So if you see the Duke funkin’ on stage or T.V., Preachin’ about love or oxygen that is free, Pay him an ear or an eye or a soul,
And then he’ll know that he’s played his role
